This book is more for chuckles than belly laughs, but Canadian columnist Gordon Kirkland has a keen observational eye and a charming wit. He never curses or speaks of unseemly topics to produce humor, either. I was thoroughly entertained by this collection of short essays on such topics as travel, family, reality tv, pets, and quirks of his fellow man.

    2. Farrell

I liked this book but I got kind of bored toward the end. It's humorous, but not as funny as Dale Alderman- just read two of his books - "big white panties" and "every day dad" and LOVED them. LOL funny.

    3. Paul Catterton

Lots of funSeveral entertaining stories to keep you entertained especially the one about his brother; won't give that one away you'll have to read that one yourself. This book was less than a buck, you can't go wrong. Check it out!

Too funny for words - after I read this book, I downloaded more of Gordon's books. I read a couple of chapters each day and give myself a chance to giggle or laugh out loud.

    5. Les

This is a collection of essays/columns by the author. They are fairly amusing, somewhat in the style of Lewis Grizzard.

    6. JillM Caldwell

Funny and light if you haven't read his columns. A reprint of columns. Good airport book. Humorous but not laugh out loud. Family friendly. Language is not offensive at all.

    7. Ann

Had me laughing out loud in a few spots, chuckling in many spots and wanting to know what other books he might have written.

    8. Kent

Kirkland finds a smile in things most wouldn't even see. The word, humor, is derived from a root meaning "fluid." Gordon's humor helps one fluidly bend around the difficulties of life.
