Katherine's life is improving. Months ago, she was homeless, well, after she ran away from home. When she met David and Stacey in Lithia, they gave her life back. It seemed like everything is back to normal, not only she was given basic needs, she's also been given an opportunity to go back in college. However, she misses Stacey so much. She felt "homeless" again after Stacey's death. According to some people in the community, Stacey died in a bear attack. Katherine knows it wasn't a bear but sh [...]

So much better then the last one!Kat's not the scared little homeless girl that was lucky enough to find a job. She has a job, she's going to school and she's even in a school play! That's pretty amazing from where she had been not too long ago. She's become a strong young lady, still a bit too trustful. Enter someone from her past (I'm not going to tell you who) but my goodness when they betrayed her I just knew that's what they were going to do all along! The bum! Come on, Ket! When you have m [...]

The Ghost Runner by Blair Richmond (book 2 in the Lithia Series, published by small publisher Ashland Creek Press) finds Katherine Healy unable to outrun her past and her father. Ghosts begin appearing in her life, just as she has settled into her new home in Lithia, a home her family abandoned long ago for Houston. Roman, an immortal carnivore, has been cast aside in favor of Alex, an immortal vegan and environmentalist, by Kat, but even her perfect relationship is showing signs of cracking und [...]

A sequel is always a tricky book to write. Being able to keep the characters’ voices fresh in the author’s mind is no easy thing to accomplish, but in this case, I think the sequel is just as good as the original. I enjoyed the subtle personality changes that we see with Katherine. She has evolved as a character, which is what we wish out of all our protagonists: to see a bit of a change in the way they look at life. She can get a bit on the whiny side sometimes, but it’s not nearly enough [...]

A great sequel to the first book in the trilogy. It's been a while since I read this, so I can't recall all the details, but I do remember that the overall experience of reading the book was simply pure fun until the very end of it.

This was a pretty good book. There were some parts that I thought were kind of cheesy. However I really liked the small stories like the one between her and her father. Her and roman and now victor is back probably to try and get the gold. But in happy she was able to get her land back.
